It’s been a long time between posts, and in the interim, I have been focused on a lot of other projects – backyard construction, landscaping, and studies.
The photos below show some of the interesting sights we have seen over the hot Brisbane summer.
The emu looks terrifying, but is actually eating grass. It's very difficult to give a friendly smile when you have a beak.
This tasmanian devil is growling, not yawning. Better to steer clear of it methinks! (Lone Pine Sanctuary)
Being sized up by the Emu
A spectating lizard watches these crazy humans
These tables are for grooming pets. In a different environment... they would look very imposing... think X-men...
I'm getting sized up by a male kangaroo
These huge murals make the Brisbane CBD more interesting
Breakfast of champions!!!
Wombat sleeping in a wombat hole! (At... unfortunately... a zoo enclosure...)
Nearly empty streets on a Saturday evening during pandemic lockdown
Wombat sleeping in a tree trunk (At Lone Pine Sanctuary)
